Leroy Dias Dos Santos

Who is Leroy?

Leroy Dias Dos Santos - a former member of the street dance sensation "Flawless", who were finalists on ITV's Britain Got Talent in 2009-  is a dancer, choreographer, model, singer and a social mentor who continues to strive for perfection in all his talents and skills. 

Flawless have had great success in the entertainment industry featuring in movies such as "Street Dance 3D" 1 and 2,appearing in Eastenders, being invited by HM The Queen for the "Youths in Arts" events at Buckingham Palace, performing at The Queen's Diamond Jubilee with Kylie Minogue and also performing at the Paralympic Opening Ceremony 2012.Throughout his career Leroy has had the pleasure of meeting prestigious people such as HM The Queen, Prince Charles and other members of The Royal Family, celebrities such as Jermaine Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Jason Statham, WiLL.I.AM, Jessie J, and working with artists such as Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Leona Lewis, Sugababes and choreographers such as Jermaine Jackson, Rafael Bonachela, Shobana Jesaysingh. Mavin Khoo and companies such as The English National Ballet.

The Photo Shoot

Leroy and I have been talking for a long time about doing a photo-shoot. I did some retouch for his personal projects and he has been following my work for the last 2 year. Yesterday, we finally managed to get together and do the shoot we've been talking about for so long.

Since Leroy is a model and a dancer, we wanted to have a variety of looks, from clean head shots to funky dance shots. In 2 hours time, I think we shot 6-7 different looks. 

For this shoot I used a 4 light setup. I really wanted awesome rim light so we used 2 gridded strip boxes in the background, a beauty dish (no grid or diffuser) and a medium size soft box in the front and our background colour of choice ... Grey :)

I really enjoyed the shoot. Leroy is very professional and down to earth. He's very passionate about what he does.

Leroy believes that everyone has a purpose in life and what you do with it is fundamental. He enjoys connecting with people and creating opportunities that will impact and encourage aspiring people.
